VIVAnews - pure fruit juice provides more benefits than fruit juices or other drinks were mixed with various ingredients. According to health experts, children and adolescents who drink pure fruit juice has more important than the nutritional intake of children and adolescents who consumed other drinks.
Children aged between two to five years who consume 100 percent juice from fruits obtained significant intake of vitamin C, potassium and magnesium. Their bodies also have fewer sugars or sweeteners.
As quoted from the pages of The Daily Telegraph, the researchers who ran a survey called the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey for three years to compare these diets, also find a link between fruit juice and eating, and food from the grain.
Researchers from Louisiana State University Agricultural Center and Baylor College of Medicine, United States (U.S.) says, children aged between six and 12 years with such a diet also showed higher intake of essential nutrients, like fiber.
Instead, researchers found that on average children aged two to 18 years who were given drinks instead of fruit juice does not meet the recommended intake levels for a number of essential nutrients, including vitamins A and C and folate.
"One hundred percent fruit juice plays an important role in the diet of children and adolescents, an important nutrient supply during growth and development," said Dr. Carol O'Neil. The survey was conducted after another study found that drinking juice instead could create cavities and cause obesity. (Umi)
